The Aldi Delta team....

As I said, it was the low-budget area, since money was a bit limited with a young family and 3 boys, it had to be cheap kites.

Discounters like Aldi or Lidl already give a lot and so the first 3-person team was created in 1999, which has grown to a 17-person chain in the following years.

At that time I had enlarged the team with mason's cord without any prior knowledge, without having any idea how long the coupling lines should be.
Here are some pictures  from the years 2002 to 2004 and a small video from 2002 was made at the kite festival in Malmsheim. I think you can see that it is also possible to fly in the cheap sector...

Yes, the 17 didn't pull badly... standing or rather bobbing around, but they've been around in the garage for many years. At some point I'll make something else out of the sails.. I've got something in my head where you can handle quite a bit of colorful spinnaker.... but music for the future.

Setting up the team always took a little more time....

... the pilot should check the condition of the team before each flight..
all lines the same, all rods inserted cleanly.. all kites are clean to each other

This is the only way to ensure a clean flight and that nobody is in the "danger area"....

... the starting phase of the team is the trickiest next to the landing... until all kites find their flow  the pilot has to work with concentration... but then he has pure fun and enjoyment...

... and here is a video of me and my team at the kite festival in Malmsheim from 2002...

The bombers got a second life now...
