The thing is yours, Lord Jesus Christ

#593 Hymn Book Evangelical Hymn Book
The thing is yours, Lord Jesus Christ,
the thing on which we stand.
And because it's your business, it can't go under.
Only the grain of wheat, before it sprout fruitfully towards the light,
dying in the womb of the earth beforehand gets rid of its own being;
free in dying, free from your own nature.
You ascended, O Jesus, our Head, through suffering
and lead everyone who believes with you on the same path.
Well then, lead us at the same time to part in suffering and in the kingdom;
lead us through the gate of your death, together with your things, up to the light;
up to the light through your death's gate.
You yourself died as a grain of wheat and sank into the grave.
Live then, O Lebensborn, the world that God gave you;
send messengers to every country,
that your name will soon be known, your name full of bliss.
We are also ready to serve you;
